October Homeowner Checklist

    	Autumn is here, but before you get to baking all things pumpkin, pecan, and apple,, it's important to button down your house (inside and out) in preparation for winter.
Be sure to have all of your heating systems serviced before the winter months! The last thing you want is for your heater to give up in the middle of winter — or worse, during the holidays!
You may want to consider getting on a service plan for semi-annual checkups to keep your HVAC running smoothly, improve your energy efficiency, and extend its useful life.
And please … never, ever skip a chimney cleaning and inspection before putting it to cozy use.
Here it is - your monthly homeowner checklist.
* Schedule HVAC Service and Chimney Cleaning
* Change Direction of Ceiling Fans
* Rake Leaves and Dispose of Old Mulch/ Trim Plants and Shrubs
* Replace Old Weatherstripping Around Doors And Windows
* Declutter & Organize Basement
* Take Snow Shovels Out Of Storage And Pick Up Salt
* Clean Out Window Wells
* Clean Out Gutters
* Stock Up On Your Favorite Fall Candles
Save this post for later and pick 1 or 2 off the list every weekend! What are you tackling first?
