LiveMARYLAND: Where to Recycle Common Household Items
Reducing rubbish that lands in the landfill is one way to have a positive impact on our climate. We’ve all gotten pretty good at paper, glass, and cardboard, but what about other clutter culprits around the home, including dead batteries and lightbulbs, old running shoes, castoff eyeglasses, and non-functional appliances and fitness gear?
Here’s are some places that accept recyclable household waste to help you discard these items responsibly. Be sure to check with each facility before you go to ensure that their policies have not changed and they are currently accepting the type of items that you are recycling:
