You know who thinks moving is easy? NO ONE. Moving can feel overwhelming when you look around at all of the items you’ve accumulated over the years, but there IS hope!


Whether you're a moving pro or packing up for the first time, there are ways to help the process go smoothly. 



  • Purge your closets before you move and don’t pack anything that you haven’t needed, worn, or used in a year.

  • Leave clothes on hangers and store them in a garbage bag or wardrobe box.

  • Take a picture of the back of your TV so you can remember where all the different wires go.

  • Use your pots hold smaller items, and wrap your utensil tray with plastic wrap (with the utensils still inside).

  • Pack small items in sealable plastic bags so that they won’t get lost in transit.

  • Put together an “essentials” box with everything you use daily, and keep it with you, Don’t forget to add snacks for moving day!
